2024-04-18T17:44:35.490Z

Highlights: From June 7th to 9th, the Zwillings Festival (parallel to Rock am Ring) will take place at Nuremberg's dozen pond. The bands like Green Day, Billy Talent, and Maneskin have been fixed for weeks, and now the timetable is also fixed - and is causing excitement. "Timetable is a disaster!! (...) Overlaps from hell with bees in the mouth," says one festival fan in drastic words. On Friday, Green Day will end the day on the Utopia Stage. The band around frontman Billy Joe Armstrong will play from 8:40 p.m. to 11 p.M. This results in overlaps with, among other things, Bad Omens, Antilopen Gang, and Corey Taylor. On Sunday, the doctors play parallel to Beartooth and Sondaschule. They will also overlap with 'Baby metal' and 'Beartooth.'

The bands have been fixed for a long time, and it is now clear who will perform when - much to the annoyance of many fans. They let their anger out.

Nuremberg - In June it's that time again, festival fans are already longing for it: Rock in the Park. From June 7th to 9th, the Zwillings Festival (parallel to Rock am Ring) will take place at Nuremberg's dozen pond. The bands like Green Day, Billy Talent and Maneskin have been fixed for weeks, now the timetable is also fixed - and is causing excitement.

Rock im Park 2024: Trouble over Timetable – “Overlaps from Hell”

On Friday, Green Day will end the day on the Utopia Stage. The band around frontman Billy Joe Armstrong will play from 8:40 p.m. to 11 p.m., as a post by the organizers on Instagram shows. This results in overlaps with, among other things, Bad Omens (9:35 p.m. to 10:50 p.m. on the Mandora Stage) and the Antilopen Gang (10:50 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. on the Orbit Stage). On Saturday, the Eurovision Song Contest winners Maneskin will intersect with Corey Taylor, among others. The doctors play on Sunday parallel to Beartooth and Sondaschule.

There has been excitement among fans since the timetable was published: “Green Day and Bad Omens overlap... Thanks for that... who would think of something like that?” one person said angrily. “Timetable is a disaster!! (...) Overlaps from hell with bees in the mouth,” says another festival fan in drastic words.

“It’s bottomless”: Trouble over Rock in the Park

“So, I understand that you can’t watch all the acts. But how the hell do you manage to suck up primetime every single day? On Friday 'Billy Talent' overlaps with 'Baby metal' at the same time as 'Green Day', 'Bad Omens' and 'Team Scheisse'. On Saturday I have to split into three parts from 7 p.m. to see any of the acts I bought the ticket for. And as of Sunday I feel like the entire plan was made with Chat Gpt. Did you get drunk before or what was going on? You have been organizing a festival for decades. The tickets cost 300 euros and you don't have the decency to think for a single second before pulling out the timetable. Please delete everything completely and recreate it. This is bottomless. “Thank you,” a visitor lets his anger out.

Further comments on the timetable at Rock im Park 2024 in Nuremberg

  • “Maneskin and Corey Taylor at the same time. That is not how it works!"

  • “Måneskin and Corey Taylor at the same time, and doctors and Sondaschule at the same time? Should that be?”

  • “Please de-cluster the timetable again... The gaps should be different so that you still have time to change the stages... Just on Friday... Billy Talent -> Babymetal -> Greenday... Missed that you always something...”

  • “Timetable ordered by the trainee on Wish”

Not everyone can understand the criticism: “All the 'why are these bands' complainers could also remember that as an organizer you certainly have to take the bands into account. They also have other dates and don’t wait all year to finally receive an invitation from RaR and RiP,” a woman defends the timetable.

Rock im Park 2024 in Nuremberg: Organizers respond to criticism

The heavy criticism doesn't go unnoticed by the organizers: "The intern, who of course does something completely different professionally and who didn't manage to avoid overlapping the number of great bands, has of course already been warned," the comment begins jokingly - less than an hour after the original post. “No, seriously, we see your comments (including those below the belt ;)) and your feedback is important to us. As with every year and with every timetable, the following applies: You can't please everyone, even if we would of course like to.” Whether that calms people down remains to be seen.
