The State Police releases the new identity kit of Giovanni Motisi, the last great fugitive, protagonist of the massacre phase of Cosa Nostra, whose research continues unabated. Taking advantage of the professionalism and advanced technologies of the Scientific Police Service of the State Police, they have been "revisited" and updated some images of the fugitive, dating back to the 80s and the end of the 90s, with the "Age progression" technique. Technique which consists in progressive physiognomic aging, starting from the study and updating of some specific anthropometric profiles that characterize the family to which the requested person belongs. A prototype was thus created with some possible variations of the current features of Motisi's face.
This is a further attempt to tighten the circle of investigations to capture him. "Hidden" since 1998, Motisi is included in the list of "maximum danger" fugitives of the "special research program" of the Ministry of the Interior.
The new identikit will facilitate the work of the investigators of the Central Operations Service and the Palermo Flying Squad, but it will also be useful, the police hopes, to solicit the collaboration of citizens.
