After Karl Olive, deputy for Yvelines, it is Éric Berdoati, the mayor of Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine), worried about the consequences of the closure.

Motorway concessionaires under pressure. On the eve of the return from vacation, the idea is starting to gain ground among elected officials: why not make the A 14 motorway and the A 86 Duplex free from this weekend? Issued Friday evening by the deputy (Renaissance) of Yvelines Karl Olive, the proposal is shared by Éric Berdoati, the mayor (DVD) of Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine).

The objective is to offer motorists additional diversion routes to reach Paris or Hauts-de-Seine, while the A13 is closed to traffic in both directions between Paris and Vaucresson at least until the week next.

“This would be wise to avoid congestion on the D 907 when crossing Vaucresson, Garches and Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine), believes Éric Berdoati. I asked for it from this Friday's meeting with the prefecture and the Dirif (Île-de-France roads department). I also asked who was competent to make this decision, no one answered me. Just because we've never done it doesn't mean it's impossible. We even raised the subject of requisitioning this equipment by the public force but, for the moment, the Dirif has not followed up. »

The Minister of Transport contacted

Karl Olive, for his part, contacted the prefect of Yvelines on Friday evening and the Minister of Transport this Saturday morning. He is convinced of the opportunity of the project: “It would be of service to thousands of people. This is a case of force majeure and will not endanger the dealers' cash flow. »

Problem, the A14 is managed by the Paris-Normandie highway company. It is considered one of the most expensive in France: individuals must pay up to 10.60 euros to travel on this 21 km section. On the A86, it costs around 9 euros depending on the time.

Contacted, the Paris-Normandie and Vinci highway company, responsible for the Duplex, a 10 km tunnel linking Rueil-Malmaison in Hauts-de-Seine and Vélizy in Yvelines, were not able to respond immediately. .
