Syria's junior, youth and men's team won six medals “two silver and four bronzes” in the Arab Championship for Billiards and Snooker currently held in the Egyptian capital Cairo with the participation of ten countries.
The silver medals were won by Michelle Zahra in the men's category and the Dakak medal in the youth category in the billiard game, while the medal of the junior Dakkak was awarded to the junior billiards and weighs Haddad bronze in the youth and men's snooker categories, in addition to the bronze billiard teams.
President of the Billiards and Bowling Federation Michel El Khoury said in a statement to SANA Sports Bulletin that the great achievements of our national team players in Arab, continental and even international forums are a natural product of the high level reached by the Syrian player after a series of internal camps and under the supervision of a group of distinguished coaches in addition to high spirit. And insist on raising the flag of Syria high in these forums.
Al-Khouri pointed out that our players always aspire to achieve good results in foreign championships despite the difficulty of competition, especially the presence of strong Arab teams with an Asian and international reputation, especially the teams of Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Our team included both Bassem Abboud, Michel Zahra, Yazan Haddad and Wissam Dakkak.
