The round of 16 of the Champions League and the intermediate round of the Europa League will be drawn at the Uefa headquarters in Nyon on Monday (from 12 noon in the SPIEGEL live ticker; TV: Eurosport, Sky Sport News HD, DAZN). In the premier class, FC Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are waiting for their opponents.
Draw from two pots, a team from pot 1 is drawn to a team from pot 2. In the first pot are the supposedly stronger teams that have won their groups. From Germany, FC Bayern and RB Leipzig are there, as well as defending champions FC Liverpool and FC Barcelona. The respective group runners-up are drawn from the second pot, i.e. Borussia Dortmund as well as Real and Atlético Madrid, among others. BVB is therefore facing more difficult opponents than Bayern and Leipzig.
Duels between clubs from one country are excluded, as well as a direct reunion of group opponents. The seeded teams have home rights in the second leg.
