Syria's taekwondo team won a silver medal and the like in bronze in the Arab Championship currently held in the United Arab Emirates.
The silver medal came through Mu'tasim Al-Beqai in the youth category competitions after qualifying for the role of the four and defeating the Saudi player in the semi-final and losing in the final with the Emirates player.
The bronze medal came through Miss Allaf in the category of young women after defeating the Jordan in the quarter-finals and losing in the semi-final with Egypt.
