The Kreiscup season started with a giant slalom in the Leutasch. The SC Penzberg had to prove special skill as an organizer. And TSV Weilheim got the most podium places.

Landkreis - Florian Heumann, President of the Penzberg Ski Club, was only able to breathe a sigh of relief when the last trophies were handed over at the award ceremony. He and his around 40 helpers had actually made it and carried out the first circular cup race of the season - despite adverse conditions with rain. 268 starters in the age groups “children”, “schoolchildren” and “youth” were at the start. Due to the lack of snow in the local area, the first competition was held in Seefeld (Tyrol). The most successful club was TSV Weilheim with ten drivers in the top three. TSV Bernbeuren and SC Hohenfurch each got seven podium places. The DAV Peißenberg had six drivers on the "Stockerl".

Kreiscup: SC Penzberg defies difficult conditions

The Penzberger, who was the organizer, sent 22 drivers into the race, "of whom the youngsters expected to perform best," the SCP said in a message. Maximilian Vorreiter convinced at “Jugend I” (born 2002/2003) as second behind Hohenfurcher Christoph Schratt. Felix Heumann finished third. Kai Schumacher also finished bronze in the "Youth II" class (born 1999 to 2001). Fabian Futterknecht (Youth I) and Lea Fischer (Youth I) narrowly missed the podium as fourth. The coaches were satisfied: All SCP drivers came through the fast course flagged by Anton and Toni Resenberger with 28 goals, there was no failure to report. However, when it started to rain, those responsible had their hands full "to maintain the slopes in a drivable condition," says a message.

Kreiscup: TSV Weilheim gets the most podium places

The ski department of TSV Weilheim was delighted with "a very good yield". Ten podium places and 21 top ten positions speak for themselves. In the “Schüler II” class (born in 2006), the podium was entirely in Weilheim's hands: Paul Irrek - second overall in his class last season - won ahead of Wolfgang Mahn (21 hundredths back) and Jonathan Fischer (46 hundredths back). Emma Becht (children II), Emilia Schelle (children III), Robin Pixner (children IV) and Andreas Weiß (student IV) were the second to receive a trophy. The coaches Franzi Welzmüller, Tobias Krug and Stefan Weiß "were extremely satisfied", said the TSV. The 20 training units on the Stubai Glacier, on the Kronplatz, on the Zugspitze and on Garmischer Hausberg had the desired effect.

Kreiscup: Triple victory for TSV Peißenberg

The Kreiscup kick-off was also successful for DAV Peißenberg. The racing group from the market town even celebrated a one-two-three victory for the boys born in 2008 (Kinder V): Benjamin Klein distanced Nepomuk Götz by 1.17 seconds. Third place went to David Stowasser. Felix Bitterlich (children IV) and Bastian Staltmeier (pupils IV), who had a lead of almost a second, took further victories for the DAV.

The female “Schüler IV” (born 2004) was very close: There, Jana Waibl (TSV Bernbeuren) won with only a four hundredth advantage over club colleague Alina Echtler. It was - across classes - the narrowest distance that day between rank one and two. Things went almost perfectly for SC Böbing: all three drivers who made it onto the podium were at the top of their class. Veronika Schwägerl (Kinder IV) won by 1.63 seconds. The other victories came from Sarah Veit (children V) and Lukas Schwägerl (student III). The BSC Oberhausen was happy about a class victory that Felix Ramsayer (Children II) took. For SC Iffeldorf there was once bronze by Lea Gleiter (student IV).
