Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Maccabi Rishon Lezion tonight (Monday) at 78:90 and will reach the final of the National Cup where on Thursday she will meet Nahariya municipalities in an attempt to win the prestigious title for the sixth time in its history and second in a row.
In recent months we have seen big differences in the readiness of the Jerusalem team between league games and games in Europe and if anyone had a question mark which team looked like in the cup week, the Jerusalemites made it clear from the first moment they reached the peak of readiness. After ten minutes, the scoreboard showed 19:31 to Oded Ketch's team and the difference continued to increase.
James Paladin, Tyshon Thomas and John Holland showed great ability and both Israelis Tamir Blatt and Idan Zalmanson made a significant contribution to the impressive knockout on both sides of the field.
On the other side, a tremendous performance by Darryl Monroe was not enough for the Oranges to continue to wait for their first Cup history. The day Jordan Swing and Frederick Bourdion don't even get on the scoreboard it's hard to beat a better team like Hapoel Jerusalem.
