Zorneding - In the absence of defending champion SG Aßling / Emmering / Ostermünchen, SG Ebersberg / Steinhöring has won the crown at the indoor junior championship this year. In addition to the golden district champions' trophy, the team trained by Timi Tepedelen received a winner's check for 200 euros from the long-term sponsor, the Kreissparkasse Munich Starnberg Ebersberg and the BLSV district chairwoman Ingrid Golanski.

"From the game system, it was clear early on that the tournament victory could only go to Ebersberger," tournament director Mario Hüneburg had for a long time also the host and later runner-up TSV Zorneding on the bill. In his penultimate game and the direct duel with the Ebersbergers, he certainly had opportunities to leave his own hall as the day's winner. Christoph Hartinger initially equalized the 0: 1 deficit for the TSV. Ultimately, thanks to the goals from Benedikt Redl and Amin Karkour, the Tepedelen team kept the upper hand with 2-1.

In general, the kickers from Ebersberg and Steinhoring only afforded one slip. Fourth-placed SG Oberpframmern / Glonn / Bruck / Moosach defeated the tournament winner by goals from Magnus Heimbuchner and Luis Riedhofer 2-0. Third place went to ATSV Kirchseeon, fifth place went to SG Anzing / Parsdorf / Poing, sixth was the pointless SpVgg Markt Schwabener Au.

Overall, the results reflected a very balanced competition, which was carried out as announced in the futsal variant. Philipp Reisberg, youth group leader of the BFV, cleared any ambiguities regarding the regulations before the tournament in conversation with the coaches, so that the referees Wolfgang Ettl, Gerhard Reichl and Felix Owczarek only had to hand out two yellow cards.

While the SG Ebersberg / Steinhöring was already determined as the new champion, those responsible had to make a decision in the race for the top scorer. "Before the last games we decided that the youngest would get the trophy," said Mario Hüneburg.

In fact, four players had hit the mark three times at the end of the tournament. Zornedings Denis Schiffmann thus benefited from his birthday on December 5, 2002 and was allowed to pack the trophy. Amin Karkour (Ebersberg), Martin Selmer (Oberpframmern) and Alfio Di Maggio (Kirchseeon) were the older ones in this case.
