Hapoel Holon managed to halt Maccabi Haifa's momentum on Tuesday evening, with an 82:88 victory in the game ahead of the 20th round. It was an important fight for fourth place in the table and the two teams now have the same 10-win balance with Lullon playing less.
Holon was recently arrested with three consecutive losses in the FIFA and Champions League and was also ousted from the European factory. The host played on a short roster, still without the new stranger Mani Harris and without naturalist Richard Howell.
In spite of all this, she managed to beat Haifa with four wins in the last 5 games, which made her a top team. Haifa had its problems: the injured Willie Workman did not play and James Young, injured in the opening few minutes to play (10 minutes).
Holon ran away in the fourth quarter to 61: 76. Haifa with excellent minutes from Michael Brisker dropped to 72: 76, but the host managed to maintain the victory a lot thanks to an excellent threesome - 14 by 47 percent (Joe Alexander 4 of 4). Greens coordinator Gregory Vargas recorded a triple-double cycle one assist distance from another triple-double (11 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists).
