The chess team from the twelve-year-olds from the Dorfen grammar school achieved a remarkable start-finish victory at the Upper Bavarian team competitions in Miesbach. They dominated the tournament at will.
Dorfen– 13 teams had taken part in competition class IV. Five rounds were played in the Swiss system (if possible, equals play against each other). Each team had four boards to fill. The Isental team won three times with 4: 0 and twice with 3: 1 points. In the end, Dorfen confidently leads the table with 10: 0 team and 18: 2 board points.
Denis Geist and Michael Vintan won all of their five games. Bruno di Renzo John scored four points from the five games. Once he had to give up. The brothers Marc and David Berger shared a board. The latter always had the upper hand in his three missions. Marc won and lost one fight each.
