That was a rapid final phase. But the ice pirates were left behind in the extension.
Dorfen - Such bad luck for the ESC Dorfen. In Schongau they shot on Friday evening in the final minutes. In the end they lost 5: 6 after extra time (3: 2, 1: 0, 1: 3, 1: 0).
After three defeats against the ESC and six zero rounds in the relegation relegation round, the Mammuts last signaled last Sunday in the 3-0 home derby against Peißenberg. Accordingly, the hosts went from the start bully to the point and achieved the 1-0 lead (4th) through the newly signed Slovak Ronald Dvonc.

With the ice pirates there were some uncertainties in the defense, but they were able to organize the game to some extent on an equal footing. Nevertheless, the Dorfener had to accept the 1: 3 in the 18th minute by Dvonc. It was a good thing that Sandro Schöpfer succeeded in the second 3: 3 goal 55 seconds later.
The Isenstadt team was unable to capitalize on four overpowering games (Dorfen started the first break without penalty). However, ESC coach Randy Neal with defender Michael Numberger and strikers Andreas Attenberger, Sandro Schroepfer and Timo Borrmann had to offer four ailing players.
In the second third it went up and down, but the game still had little gripping highlights. In the Dorfener overpayment game, the post prevented the possible equalization after a shot from Rosenkranz. The hosts were lucky, however, when striker Daniel Schratt in Liegen, after a deflected shot, brought the target over the line to 4-2 (38th minute).
Lukas Miculka brought Dorfen back into play at the beginning of the third third. And now the game got color that had been missing for a long time. Captain Andi Attenberger scored the 4: 4 equalization (58.), and Florian Ullmann was the next scorer to 5: 4 (59.) for the ice pirates. The mammoths took the goalkeeper out and equalized with six field players through Schratt before Lautenbacher made it 6: 5 in extra time for the hosts.
