To the controllers, get set, go! This weekend the "BFV eFootball League" is the first official eFootball league game in the Free State. A total of 36 clubs - from the B-Class to the Regionalliga Bayern - will start in two seasons.

On 17 game days, the teams fight for points and the championship in everyone-against-everyone mode. Regular match day is Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The clubs can also agree on a different kick-off time using an online tool. The district of Miesbach is represented by two clubs: FC Hausham 07 and Türk Spor Hausham. We asked captains Christian Halletz (FC) and Ahmet Yilmaz (Türk Spor) about the new eFootball League, preferences, goals and motivation.

Mr. Yilmaz, Mr. Halletz, which player did you want to have in your teams and why? How could you convince each one?

Ahmet Yilmaz: We are all very good friends and play a lot together. With Oguz Subasi, we have the best FIFA gambler in the team who lives around here. Oguz is a machine and plays on a professional level. I would also call him a FIFA freak. We hope that he can prove himself in the eFootball League. Otherwise there are also Mustafa Can Yilmaz, Samed Kevek and Cihan Yörüsün. Since we are all passionate about playing the game, everyone was there right from the start.
Christian Halletz: I really wanted my colleague Alen Hadzic on my team because he is the best FIFA player in our area. Otherwise there are Basti Döring, Paul Both and Lukas Wammetsberger. This offer from the BFV with an eFootball League is a great idea. We were all excited about it and wanted to get started right away.

Do you see opponents of fear in the Bayern League?

Halletz: There is no enemy we have to fear. We are simply looking forward to the event. After all, we have a derby with Türk Spor Hausham as a competitor in the eFootball League. We also don't have to be afraid that we have a weaker team. We're playing 85 mode. So every team has the same chances. It is not the squad that counts, but the ability on the controller. Not like the FUT mode at the World Cup. So we all play without "PayToWin" under the same conditions.

How many hours a day do you exercise?

Halletz: I personally train about six hours a week. You have to write "training" in quotation marks, because we are not professionals and we still play for fun. We focus on fun. So we don't do finger stretching or physiotherapy for the thumbs (laughs). We train with FC Bayern Munich because we are racing with the German record champions.

Yilmaz: We play FIFA every day. Everyone at will. We specifically train the 85 mode again. Everyone plays around seven games a day against another of us. A game lasts an average of 15 minutes.

What formations and tactics do you use to get the title?

Yilmaz: I usually start with the 4-2-2-2 and change over to 4-2-3-1 with three tens in most situations. Oguz also changes completely when it is not working. In the eFootball League we have to wait and see which tactic works best. We want to have fun and be as successful as possible. Our main strategy will be to always play Oguz so we can have a win in our pockets. Oguz has been in the Top 100 of the Weekend League several times. Most recently, he was number 25 in the world.

If you had the choice - what do you choose: console or soccer field?

Halletz: If I actually had to decide on a variant, then it was definitely for the soccer field. I wouldn't have to think about that for a second.

Yilmaz: I would choose my Playstation (laughs). The other guys are probably of the same opinion. They would prefer the controller and hang up the soccer shoes.

How much self-discipline is necessary to get eSports and your girlfriend under one roof in addition to your football career?

Halletz: It is like any hobby: you can get everything under one roof if you want to and, above all, talk to your partner. However, eSport as a hobby does not take up that much time, at least for me.

Which players are you with?

Yilmaz: Definitely Messi, De Bruyne Team of the Year and Gullit the medium icon version. I have a team worth almost 20 million. I actually have the best players - apart from any special cards. But I also had a lot of pack luck.

How many controllers have you broken?

Halletz: Good question (laughs). So far I haven't scraped any. I usually have a good control of myself. If I'm annoyed, especially if the ball doesn't want to go in, my neighbor might hear it.

Yilmaz: I only broke five. Oguz is the worst. I think 20 broken controllers are not enough for him. This year alone there will be five or six of them again. But he also destroys other objects when he gets upset. Personally, I always try to hold back because I have a wife and child at home.

What excites you most about FIFA? Which scenarios threaten league operations?

Yilmaz: The momentum as well as the bugs and the server are unfortunately very disappointing. EA earns so much from the game and sometimes releases an unfinished game. At times, the servers are so overloaded that the game is unplayable. These are not relevant for the 85 mode in the eFootball League. I'm also annoyed by wrong decisions made by the referees, who can decide the game. But every FIFA player always finds an excuse when things are not going well.

Halletz: What annoys me most personally is that the same game situations always end differently. Even if I do everything 100 percent the same. Once the goal is scored and in the next identical situation something completely different happens. In addition, in my opinion, the midfield is bridged far too easily and quickly. In league operations I'm curious to see what awaits us.
