Forst - The "Nature Boyz" of SC Forst do their best to resist relegation from the national league: coach Stefan Roth's team won four points from the last two games and thus moved up to the penultimate place in the relegation round table. That would mean relegation at the end of the season.
In the home game against the direct competitor, the "Falcons" of EV Pfronten, the Forster had to give up 5: 6 after penalty shootout. As the game went, it was a point win for the hosts. Because in the middle third, the Forster were already 1-4 behind, but then forced the extension.
SC Forst: After 1: 4 deficit morale proved
Manuel Weninger equalized the 1-0 lead of Pfrontener by Moritz Lochbihler in the first third. In the middle section the forest threatened to slip away. The "Falcons" pulled through the goals of Lochbihler, Thomas Böck and the Czech contingent Ladislav Hruska to 4: 1. But the "Nature Boyz" did not give up. Andreas Krönauer and Anton Rauh reduced to 2: 4 and 3: 4.
Shortly after the start of the final third, Manfred Guggemos equalized for the home side. The tension increased with increasing duration. Pfronten scored 5: 4 through Böck, only nine seconds later Michael Krönauer was on hand with 5: 5. No goals were scored until the final siren and also in the compulsory extension - so the penalty shootout had to decide.
The Forster had won a penalty shootout this season (in the preliminary round match against Fürstenfeldbruck), the Pfrontener had lost all games that went into overtime to date. This time the "Falcons" cheered: Timo Stammler scored the decisive goal (formerly at EV Füssen, among others).
SC Forst: First victory in the relegation round at "Crusaders"
Two days earlier, the "Nature Boyz" landed their first victory in the relegation round with a 4-2 win at EV Fürstenfeldbruck's "Crusaders". "The knot has finally broken," said SC spokesman Werner Schilcher. The Forster were not impressed by the early 0: 1 deficit (4th). Following a successful combination, Bastian Grundner scored the 1-1 (9th). The guests then used a power play for the 2-1 lead (18th); Daniel Stöberl had met. In the middle section, the penalties increased, "Game flow did not come up," said the SC in a message. Forsts Anton Rauh managed a counterattack to make it 3-1 (22nd). This hit gave the guests security in their actions. The majority reduced the EVF to 2: 3 (36th). When the Forster had two more men on the ice shortly before the end of the third, they struck: Rauh scored nine to four in front of the siren to 4: 2. This was the final result. In the final section, both teams had numerous chances, but the two goalkeepers each prevented further goals with good actions.
