After Belmin Idrizovic, who joined FC Wacker Munich during the winter break (we reported), Vieira is already the second new signing that is back in the field after six months at TSV. With the two, the wolves lose their complete storm duo, which was responsible for 15 of the 21 Gräfelfinger hits. Like Idrizovic, Vieira came in the summer on the initiative of the former assistant coach Adis Letica, who now looks after FC Wacker. Gegenfurtner does not want to reveal why the Brazilian is looking for space again after such a short time. However, he admits that Vieira has been blocked by the TSV for the coming months: "He got his passport, but no release."
With the departure of the Brazilian, the situation on Hubert-Reißner-Strasse becomes even worse. In addition to Vieira and Idrizovic, Gegenfurtner also has to do without Simon Schmidt and Florian Holztrattner, who both tore the cruciate ligament. Florian Falkenhain joins them, who is still not really fit after breaking his shin and fibula in the summer and still needs time until everything has healed properly.
“The results will no longer be as good for us as in the first half of the season,” feared Gegenfurtner. With 18 points, the wolves are seven points ahead of the relegation zone, but they can be playful, especially since the opening program in March is tough: The TSV meets leaders TSV Großhadern at home before heading to fourth-placed FC Neuhadern. "A difficult second half of the season" predicts the coach of his team.
Gegenfurtner is especially lacking the kickers who are able to play a game and score goals. Defensive qualities alone will not keep the league going. The coach therefore already consulted with his department head. She deliberately refrains from ordering any new additions quickly, but speaks again for her own Art Nouveau. In summer, the entire A-youth should be raised to the adult area. "If it ends one class lower, that's the way it is," says Gegenfurtner of a possible descent.
