Against SG Mintraching / Neutraubling, HSG Würm-Mitte is once again in full possession of its forces. The Bayern league leader is hoping for a clear matter.
Würmtal - The ladies of HSG Würm-Mitte have already won several games this season by a wide margin. Things went particularly well at 41:26 in the first leg against SG Mintraching / Neutraubling, the opponent on Saturday evening at Kurt-Huber-Gymnasium in Gräfelfingen (5.30 p.m., Adalbert-Stifter-Strasse).
“That was our best performance of the season. Especially in the first half, our defense in connection with the two goalkeepers was really great, ”said HSG trainer Stefanie Mittasch in retrospect. During this week, the defense was worked on again in training. Mittasch knows: "This gives us more security for the offensive."
In the first leg, Würm-Mittes Laura Steger shone with nine goals
Würm-Mittes trainer hopes that her players will start the game with a good feeling due to the strong first leg performance. However, she does not assume that such a game, in which circular runner Laura Steger shone with nine goals, can be repeated one to one. "We respect the opponent," emphasizes the Bayern League leader.
In the previous week, the Würmtaler Wildcats experienced how different the two games can be. The first meeting with HaSpo Bayreuth (37:20) was a clear affair, last Saturday the championship leader had to tremble to the end and, after the 26:24 success, could thank goalkeeper Marika Hannemann, who made four free throws in the final minutes the hostesses parried. In the end, the nimbus of invincibility was maintained in the 17th game of the season.
Illness wave survived in the Würmtaler wildcats
Against mintraching, however, should be a more confident appearance. "We want to improve our performance compared to the previous week", Mittasch demands and adds: "It is a home game and the girls are very motivated."
The training week already went much better for the HSG. The wave of illness seems to be over. All players were able to train, including Alexandra Müller, who was not deployed last week due to illness. In addition to focusing on their own defensive performance, the wildcats refined their attacking game against an offensive cover after the Bayreuth 3-2-1 defense had caused them some problems.
