The Altenerdinger C1 handball players were happy after winning the district league derby against TSV Wartenberg with 25:21 (10:10) goals.
Wartenberg - Already in the first few minutes the guests managed to build up a clear lead - even though they had lost significantly in the first half of the season. The outstanding performance of goalkeeper Amrei Bernauer was particularly remarkable. But after 9: 3 in the 18th minute, the tide turned in favor of the Wartenberg women, who equalized until the break at 10:10.
Doris Breuer, SpVgg spokeswoman: "In the half-time speech, the coaches encouraged their team to join the great phase in the middle of the first half." That was exactly what the Altenerdingen women did in the second half and, according to Breuer, showed one of the best season performances over one entire half of the game.
Wartenberg, on the other hand, did not show its best side in the second half. "The defense was leaky and the goalkeeper had a very bad day," said TSV coach Susanne Böhm. A little consolation for birthday child Mariana Rademacher-Rodrigues (15). She was the most successful scorer in the game. jon / sed
