Cages tackles. Former XV de la Rose and Stade Français player James Haskell will make his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut on May 16, his promoter announced on Thursday. The 34-year-old former line-up to the 77 caps with England, who hung up his crampons at the end of the 2019 season, will face a fighter whose name has not yet been revealed at a rally in Wembley.

James Haskell, who had been practicing MMA in a London gym for ten years as part of his rugby training routine, signed up in August with American promoter Bellator.

"If someone wants to rub me, it will be done"

"I work hard and if someone wants to rub me, it will be done. I will give everything because I represent Bellator and my hall, "said in an interview broadcast by the Guardian on Monday the ex-flanker passed by the English championships (Wasps, Northampton), Japanese, New Zealand and at the Stade Français (2009 -2011).

James Haskell's fight is scheduled for the same day as the bantamweight fight between Irishman James Gallagher and Englishman Cal Ellenor, already postponed twice.
