The Israeli team opened the first leg of the European Championship 2021 tonight (Thursday) with 71:75 in Glabice on Poland. Oded Ketch's group will return to Israel tomorrow afternoon and on Monday will host Romania in the Shlomo Group Hall.
"A great start to the campaign for us," said coach Oded Ketch after the game, "It is not an easy place to play and we have a lot of respect for the Polish team. "It's not easy to prepare for this method of gaming, but we've done a good job and now we're waiting for a game in front of the home crowd."
Captain Gal Meckel added: "What a way to start the campaign. We are satisfied, had a good game and mostly dominated and now have to move on. Our goals are far and we are glad we started with the right foot."
