SV Planegg-Krailling is experiencing a mixed winter league preparation. "It's going slow," says coach Michael Lelleck. The SVP still adheres to the goal of the season.

Planegg - The wave of illness that is currently spreading has not stopped at Michael Lelleck. "I've got it now," says the coach of the football club SV Planegg-Krailling. Previously, some of his players were already lying flat, which hampered the first half of the aspirant's preparation.

“It's going very slowly,” says Lelleck, who describes the past three weeks as “far from ideal”. The sometimes adverse, dangerous weather conditions and some injuries had a negative impact on the Planegger preparation.

Planegg trainer Lelleck is dragging himself sick to the soccer field

Unlike his sick players, Lelleck dragged himself to the soccer field for the training sessions despite his health. "I have to be a role model and show the boys that I am there for them and support them," says the coach, adding: "I don't have to run either and can wrap myself up a lot."

His players, on the other hand, wind up several kilometers during these weeks. Fitness is at the top of the SVP's winter preparation agenda. "That is the most important thing, but I like to combine it with playing football," says Lelleck. After all, he had to keep his boys happy.

After three test games: "Must learn to fight"

In the past weeks, 15 to 20 participants regularly came to the units on Hofmarkstrasse. The trainer used 23 different players in the previous three tests. At the start, Planegg suffered a 3: 4 loss to SC Oberweikertshofen II, followed by two victories against FC Rot-Weiß Oberföhring (3: 1) and SV Mammendorf (2: 1).

Lelleck places little value on the results in preparation. The learning effect is more important to the coach. "Above all, we were able to see something against Oberföhring and Mammendorf," says Lelleck. In particular, he addresses the areas of duel leadership and physics. "We should learn something to fight," said Lelleck. However, this should not be at the expense of the playful component. It has long been a top priority in Planegg.

There are three more test matches ahead of the SVP's tough start to the season

The SVP has three difficult test games against two district league teams and a district league table leader before the return to the point game on March 8th. In total, the blue-blacks will have been on the pitch six times - a comparatively high number of encounters. "I always find test games more interesting than training," explains Lelleck. His footballers certainly see it in a similar way.

So the SVP should have the rhythm when the first competitive game is due at the beginning of March, which is a real maturity test: The second in the table receives the sixth-placed FC Wacker Munich, one of only two teams that the Würmtaler had to defeat in the first half of the season.

SV Planegg-Krailling is missing three important players until further notice

Three important players will most likely not be there when they meet FCW again: Michael Ettl, Yunus Reis and top scorer Patrick Ochsendorf (11 goals). They are all still suffering from injuries and will probably not get fit in time. With Danny Sturm (most recently DJK Würmtal) Lelleck is available for the rest of the season. Two other kickers also stopped by for a test session and could also strengthen the top division.

To make a better appearance against Wacker and all other teams than in the first half series, Planegg wants to work on the game speed before the competitive games, Lelleck said. You shouldn't let your opponents get into duels.

SV Planegg's goal remains championship in district league 2 - except in one scenario

The second team to beat SVP in the first half of the season is the undefeated leader, TSV Großhadern, whom Lelleck wants to continue to contest the championship. The coach gave the title and the associated return to the district league as a summer goal in the summer. "Nothing will change about that," announces Lelleck.

Unless his team receives four losses until a direct duel with Großhadern in mid-April, the coach says. “Then you have to rethink that, of course.” With a view to the Planegger kick-off program, however, this seems extremely unlikely: In addition to Wacker, the blue-blacks meet the relegation candidates SV Lochhausen, MTV Munich and TSV Neuried II.
