Yesterday the table tennis captain from regional league team TSV Graefelfing had to take care of the bed due to illness. "Hopefully it's not that bad," says the leader. The top player wants to be fit again on Sunday at the latest. Then the TSV will play the important game at SV Aufbau Altenburg (1 p.m., Friesenstrasse).
In Thuringia, both opponents are about to stay in the class. Sixth in the table (9:11 points), the hosts are only one place in front of the Graefelfingers (7:15), which in turn rank directly above the relegation zone. In the first leg, both teams separated 8: 8. "We want to score again this time," says Becker.
Graefelfing would be satisfied with the point in the last away game
He would be satisfied with another draw. Especially since the game in Altenburg is the last away game of the wolves this season. The remaining direct duels in the relegation battle are allowed to take place in their home hall. As a conclusion, the Würmtaler therefore decided to start their final trip abroad a day earlier and stay overnight in Altenburg.
Before it starts on Saturday afternoon, the TSV does a short training session. Then it should also be decided in which double constellation the wolves will compete. Starting with 2: 1 is Becker's goal. Otherwise he sees good chances for many points, especially in the rear pair cross. "They're breaking down there," says Becker. Graefelfing won all four duels there in the first half of the season.
