Swiss justice announced Thursday that it had indicted Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, boss of the television group beIN Media, and the former n ° 2 of Fifa Jérôme Valcke, in a corruption case linked to the allocation of TV rights of the World Cup. These investigations are not the only ones that threaten the president of Paris SG.
In France, judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke indicted the Qatari leader last spring because he suspects he wanted to buy the 2017 World Athletics Championships by authorizing the payment of a large sum of money (3.5 million euros) to the former president of the International Athletics Federation, Lamine Diack. The competition was finally awarded to London and it was not until 2019 that the emirate organized the World Championships on its soil.

In this case, the magistrates question the involvement of Nasser Al Khelaïfi in a transaction which was operated by the company Oryx Qatar Sports Investment, owned by the brother of the Parisian leader, Khalid, for a sports marketing company in the hands of Papa Massata Diack, the son of Lamine Diack.
Me Francis Szpiner, who defends the interests of Nasser Al Khelaïfi in this case claims that his client has "not validated any payment of any kind whatsoever in connection with the alleged facts". The lawyer also claims that Nasser Al-Khelaïfi was neither the manager nor the shareholder of the company in 2011, at the time of the events. However, he was a shareholder of Oryx Qatar Sports Investment between 2013 and 2016.
