The Syrian Association of Purebred Arabian Horses honored the traveler Adnan Azzam today after the end of his trip "Syria .. The World", which was launched last April from Damascus on the horseback of the Arab horse and arrived in the Russian capital Moscow after more than ten months.
The honoring ceremony held by the association in Al-Mohafaza Sports Club in Damascus witnessed a variety of artistic paragraphs presented by a group of children of the Bakra Elna project. Also during the ceremony, his assistant in the trip Waseem Al-Muhammad and the supportive parties of the trip were honored.
Azzam stressed during the media dialogue that followed the honoring ceremony the importance of the trip he made and traveled about 6000 km across Jordan, Iraq, Iran and Azerbaijan to enter the Russian lands later, noting that his trip is a message to the world that Syria is a land of love and peace and came in appreciation of the positions of friendly countries supporting Syria in Fighting terrorism.
Azzam said, "The trip received great attention in the stations that it passed through to Moscow, during which we met many people and explained to them the great resilience of the Syrian people alongside the Syrian Arab Army in the face of terrorism."
For his part, Honorary President of the Syrian Association for Purebred Arabian Horses Basil Al-Jadaan pointed to the strong will that Azzam armed in his journey, as he addressed the difficult weather conditions in the countries he passed through, indicating the importance of horsemanship in Syria, which is one of the most important original habitats of the Arab horse for what this horse holds Of ancient symbols and values.
Al-Jadaan explained that the trip came within the activities of the International Sham Festival for the Authentic Arab Horse, whose first edition was launched last April in Damascus and received great attention due to the various events and tournaments it included, pointing at the same time to the great efforts that were made for this trip.
It is noteworthy that Azzam began his journey in 1982 with a trip on the back of his authentic Arab horse, Nayazek Al-Sham, which lasted 1300 days, making it the first trip in history that crosses the world on horseback crossing the distance between Syria, Turkey and Europe in most of its cities and traversing North America from Spain through the Maghreb to where the journey began .
