Former Bundesliga professional Daniel Jungwirth becomes the new coach of the Planegger U12 (D2). After his last stop at Türgkücü Munich, he is now back in the coaching business.

The 38-year-old takes office on February 25, 2020 in order to get involved with the team with which he will play in the district's top division in the 20/21 season. "I am very happy that we were able to win such a top-class man for this prestigious league and this great team," says youth leader Andreas Hoeglauer, who was able to convince Jungwirth of a transfer to Würm. "The chemistry was right from the start," agrees Jungwirth, "and I'm looking forward to the challenge of being able to help shape something in such a traditional club and pass on my experience."

After already being extended for the next season with 16 coaches in record time, Daniel Jungwirth has signed another milestone. The soccer department of SV Planegg-Krailling is therefore well prepared for the next season.

Professional career started at Borussia Mönchengladbach

In his youth, Jungwirth played for FC Ismaning and for FC Bayern Munich, with which he became German B-Youth Champion. He also played for the German U-16 national team. His adult career started at Borussia Mönchengladbach. From 2003 to 2005 he played with the amateurs of FC Bayern Munich, with whom he developed into a regular player and with them won the championship in the Regionalliga Süd in 2004.

For the 2005/06 season he moved to the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue, for whom he played 15 league games in the premier season. In the first half of the following season, he only had two appearances due to a shin fracture. In January 2007 he agreed with FC Erzgebirge Aue to immediately cancel his contract and signed the next day with regional league team FC Ingolstadt 04. With this he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2008, but left after the direct relegation and moved to third division SV Sandhausen. Most recently, he played at FC Unterföhring in the Bayernliga. His first major coaching station was at Türkgücü Munich. But after a year he threw there as an assistant coach because the club did not keep to agreements.
