The Samoëns resort is hosting the French championship in ice water swimming from 28 February to 1 March next. The 150 participants of this second edition will set off in Lac aux Dames at an altitude of 700 meters, in water at 10 degrees maximum. Swimmers will only wear a swimsuit approved by the International Swimming Federation, a swimming cap and goggles. For this unusual competition, some classic swimming rules have been modified: underwater casting and tumbling are prohibited.
