He was the best at the Bavarian Cross-Country Championship: Martin Hermann not only won the M-60 class, but was the fastest of all seniors over 5500 meters. A special success for him.

Buttenwiesen - In addition to the TSV Penzberg athletes, other athletes from the district also performed well at the Bavarian Cross-Country Championship in Buttenwiesen. Martin Hermann achieved a special result. The Weilheimer, who starts for TSV Peißenberg, won his first Bavarian championship.

In the M-60 class, which completed 5500 meters, Hermann left the entire competition with 20:47 minutes, on that day there were 25 starters. "It's a nice feeling to be the first in a race to finish after a long time," said Hermann. "I had speculated on a place in the top five." The M-60 athletes competed together with the runners from the older classes (up to M80). Hermann took the lead on the muddy course with a wavy profile after about 300 meters, "and defended it over all five laps," said the Weilheimer. "It was running smoothly on the way, the restless course kept us all busy."

Cross-country skiing: Martin Hermann finishes first overall

He had to give everything for his gold medal, because the competitors could not be shaken off. Hermann was the first overall to cross the finish line by a second. On the home stretch, the eventual M65 winner, Ludwig Lang (SVG Ruhstorf / Rott), launched another attack that the Weilheimer fended off. The TSV athlete was two seconds ahead of the M60 runner-up, Herbert Eckmüller (LG Wolfstein). The gap to third, Hans Hörmann-Bouricha (FC Ebershausen), was five seconds.

Franca Henseleit also won gold from Steingaden. The 17-year-old is one of the best young triathletes in Germany. In Buttenwiesen she won in the U-20 class, running the 3300 meters in 12:03 minutes. “Muddy running tracks are something very unusual for us triathletes,” said Franca Henseleit. "So my coach's tip was worth gold - the shortest route is not the fastest today."

Her brother Simon (20), who recently returned from a triathlon training course from Thailand, finished fourth in the U23. "I am very happy with the result," said Simon Henseleit. He covered the 4400 meters in 13:34 minutes, third place was missing twelve seconds. Peitinger Christian Scholz, who went on the 6600 meter long route, finished after 23:53 minutes and finished fourth in the M50.

This is also interesting:

Nick Jäger in top form, Marvin Bertram tactically clever - TSV Penzberg played a good role in the Bavarian cross-country championship. Nick Jäger was overjoyed at the finish line, who recently struggled with his form.

Julia Rath shines over 1500 meters - That was a strong performance: Julia Rath showed at the U-20-Hallen-DM in Neubrandenburg that she is one of the best German talents on the middle distance.

Red card the sticking point in the Peißenberg game - TSV Peißenberg's handball players continue to struggle abroad. At HSG Isar-Loisach, an action shortly before the break played an important role.

Stefan Beinlich is the measure of all things at TSV Peißenberg - The reign of Stefan Beinlich continues: At the table tennis club championship of TSV Peißenberg, the player was once again the measure of all things.
