Through the voice of the Minister of Sport, Vincenzo Spadafora, the Italian government announced its decision to ban sporting events until Sunday March 1 in the regions of northern Italy due to the development of the coronavirus epidemic. In response to requests from the professional world and in particular from Serie A (highlighting an already congested calendar), the government has granted exemptions for the meetings to take place behind closed doors. Six meetings are concerned for the next weekend: Udinese - Fiorentina, Milan - Genoa, Parma - Spal, Sassuolo - Brescia, Sampdoria - Hellas Verona and the much awaited Juventus - Inter. Scheduled at the end of the 26th day, the "Derby d'Italia" involving the 1st and 3rd of the championship should take place under special conditions.
