Berlin (dpa) - The novel corona virus continues to influence the sports world. The next World Cup will be canceled. The first cases of lung disease in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg now have an impact in Germany.

- The International Skating Union (ISU) canceled Wednesday's short track world championships in Seoul, South Korea, scheduled for March 13-15. The responsible authorities in Seoul had previously ordered the closure of the Mokdong ice rink and the cancellation of all planned competitions due to the novel corona virus.
