Regensburg (dpa) - Dynamo Dresden celebrated their long-awaited first away win in the 2nd Bundesliga after 333 days, making FC Nürnberg a big step away from the relegation zone.
The bottom of the table turned the game against SSV Jahn Regensburg on Friday at 2: 1 (0: 0). Patrick Schmidt (70th minute) and winter newcomer Simon Makienok (77th) ensured the almost forgotten feeling of an away three. The last time Dynamo won on April 1 was 3-1 against Erzgebirge Aue.
In front of 11,309 spectators it had looked bad for Dresden after five wins and two draws against Regensburg. But the 1-0 by Erik Wekesser (63. minute) did not last long. Thanks to the victory, Dresden is again within striking distance of the relegation rank.
The Franks prevailed 1-0 (0-0) at Karlsruher SC, thus expanding the gap between the Baden team on the relegation site to five points. Patrick Erras (74th minute) scored after a mistake by KSC goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff in front of 14,450 spectators in the game park stadium. While the FCN initially moved into the middle of the table, the KSC remains in third-last place after the next setback under coach Christian Eichner.
