Lohhof - The players were fully involved, training participation and intensity were right, the bad luck with injuries had been spared, and in the test games his team shone over long distances: When Manuel von Klaudy talks about the winter preparation of his SV Lohhof, then the coach of the district league team raves. But then he brings himself and everyone else back onto the carpet with a single sentence: "The last time preparation was so positive was two years ago," recalls the coach. "At the end we were relegated from the district league."

Therefore, the trainer does not want to give too much on the past training weeks. Rather, it will be decisive how the SVL does in the remaining 14 league games - starting with the duel on Sunday against FSV Harthof (3 p.m.). Then Lohhof wants to get the first three points before the second place goes to the direct pursuer from Untermenzing. The two clubs are currently on the relegation places; SV Nord Lerchenau sits in front of them on the direct ascent rank.

The Lohhofer held that position for long stretches of the first half of the season before weakening before the winter break and only getting two points from three games. Nevertheless, the climb is and remains the goal of the team, whose face has hardly changed in winter. A long-serving Lohhofer ended his career in Felix Freiberger. However, he was just as little used as Nenad Elez, who is also no longer part of the squad. Dominic Bischof will say goodbye to his home in Dresden after the Harthof game.

Apart from this trio, Klaudy can rely on the well-known squad, which - unlike so often in previous years - is almost entirely available this time. "There will probably be first hardship cases on Sunday because one or the other fit player won't even be in the squad," says the coach. This is one of the reasons why he announces that he will “start up the rotary machine” in the next few weeks. There was a lot of change already in the test games, in which the SVL dealt with, among other things, the district league team TSV Eching with 5: 2 and the leader of the district league 2, TSV Großhadern, with 6: 1.

As in the first half of the season, in which the Lohhofer made the strongest attack in the league with 44 goals in 14 games, the team also shone offensively in the preparation. However, that conceals the fact that the chances of exploitation are still a major shortcoming of his team, says von Klaudy, "It was somewhere between bad and catastrophic in many games." The coach also criticized that there were too many opportunities in the friendly matches - and still finds a drop of bitterness in the otherwise pleasant winter weeks. Now his Lohhofer only have to make sure that this time in the league is different than after the recent "very positive preparation" two years ago.
