Manchester City won the (first) League Cup tonight, the third-most important title in England for the seventh time in its history, and the third in a row. The Citizens defeated Aston Villa 1: 2 in the final at Wembley Stadium.

The game opened with great enthusiasm from Aston Villa, but that didn't stop Sergio Aguero from raising the cup holder to the lead in the 20th minute, and Rudderi doubled after ten minutes. 41 minutes into the match, Ambwana Samata dived through the middle and almost scored to make it 3 - 0.
