Boston (AP) - Despite a strong playing Daniel Theis, the Boston Celtics have suffered a defeat in the North American professional basketball league NBA.
The Celtics lost to the Houston Rockets in their own hall with 110: 111 (104: 104, 56:45). The dominant player on the floor was Russell Westbrook, who contributed more than a third of the points to the Rockets' victory with 41 points.
The German international Theis was in the starting line-up with the hosts and was able to record eight points, 15 rebounds and three assists in 39:02 minutes. In extra time, James Harden ultimately ensured the victory of the guests with two free throws. It was the very acting Theis who had fouled the Houston superstar beforehand. With third place in the Eastern Conference, Theis and the Celtics are still on the playoff course. The Rockets, which occupy fourth place in the West, also have good chances.
