Edmonton (dpa) - As in the previous year, the German ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl broke the mark of 100 scorer points in the North American league NHL.
In the 3: 2 (1: 0, 1: 2, 1: 0) home win of the Edmonton Oilers over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday (local time), the Cologne player first scored his goals 38 and 39 for the 1-0 (7th) and 2nd : 2 (40th). Draisaitl was also involved in Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' winning goal in the 55th minute with his 63rd assist.
With now 102 points, the 24-year-old clearly leads the scorer ranking in the NHL. Draisaitl is likely to exceed its record high of 105 scorer points from the previous season. After 65 season games, Edmonton is second in the Pacific Division with 34 wins and 23 losses and can continue to hope for the playoffs.
