The EC Peiting was twice behind, twice he led. And yet there was a tie against the EV feet nine minutes before the end. Then the ECP captain struck.
Peiting - Phew, what an evening. First, Füssen leads, then Peiting, then Füssen, then Peiting, then there's a tie again - and in the end, EC Peiting wins the ice hockey league game. However, that was hard work.
In the first third, both teams do not necessarily show nice, but at least entertaining ice hockey on Sunday evening. With chances on both sides, four power plays and at least one goal. Füssen's Nicolas Jentsch manages this surprisingly in the fourth minute. Until then, Peiting had the game completely under control. But after a bully, the disc lands right in front of Jentsch's bat, which conveys it directly into the mesh. Shortly afterwards, ECP defender Tim Rohrbach received a penalty for hooking, the hosts came under real pressure. However, they prevent a higher backlog in the minority. The ECP then shows how different two Powerplay games can look. Peiting plays his first, from the twelfth minute, calmly and cleverly - and thus comes with numerous possibilities. Ty Morris, Rohrbach and Andreas Feuerecker leave. In the second overpowering game of the ECP, which starts in the 15th minute, the action on the ice looks very different. The ECP often dodges the disc in those two minutes. Instead of shots, viewers only see attempts to set up a game. And as different as the two powerplays are within a short period of time, they have one thing in common: they remain goalless.
Krabbat and Heger turn the game for the first time
In the second third, Peiting takes the game back in hand. Despite the tour, two Füssen fans in the grandstand have a hard time getting the other EV fans excited about their cheers. Maybe someone already guesses what is coming. Because Dominic Krabbat bangs the puck into the housing to compensate (24th) - in majority. Less than three minutes later, Ty Morris snakes between two feet and puts on Thomas Heger, who shoots the ECP for the 2-1 lead. It looks like peiting has everything under control. But when ECP goalkeeper Florian Hechenrieder fends off a shot in the middle, Lubos Velebny equalizes in the follow-up to 2: 2. Shortly before the third end, a goal is scored in a Peitinger Powerplay. However, it is the new lead for Füssen. Peiting loses the disc in the game setup, Samuel Payeur takes off and dances Hechenrieder. With 3: 2 for feet it goes into the last third.
Peiting does double the number - and brings feet back into play
Peiting succeeds in the important and often requested early hit. Anton Saal brings Peiting the equalizer again in the 42nd minute. But when Martin Mazanec allowed himself a gang check, Füssen was again on the ice with one more man. Fortunately for Peiting, that a Füssener also has to sit in the cooler just a little later. In four-on-four, Tim Rohrbach pulls off the blue line - when the puck strikes, he almost arms up a little in disbelief. Yes, Peiting leads again! 4: 3. And to play for another twelve and a half minutes. It is not smart that the ECP is now double outnumbered - and will be punished. Maximilian Dropmann shoots the equalizer to 4: 4. But Peiting does not fall behind again. The captain takes care of it himself. Andreas Feuerecker succeeds 5: 4 with a violent shot - and thus the decision.
