Alexis Pinturault is in his garden at Hinterstoder: fourth in the super-G played Saturday in the Austrian station, he won Sunday the alpine combined and made a very good operation in the general classification of the World Cup. Pinturault, second after the super-G round, dominated the slalom round to sign his 28th World Cup victory, his fifth of the winter. The 2019 world champion in the specialty has won the small globe of the World Cup combined for the fourth time since 2016. More importantly, the Courchevel skier is now on the heels of the leader of the general classification, the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. Kilde, specialist in speed disciplines, nevertheless finished in a beautiful 3rd place on Sunday. But his lead over Pinturault, now 2nd overall, is only 34 points. And this gap could further decrease, or even reverse in favor of the French N.1, since the Hinterstoder stage will conclude on Monday with a giant slalom, the other strong discipline of "Pintu". The third skier in the fight for the big globe in world No.1, the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, placed 11th and is now 101 points behind Kilde and 67 behind Pinturault.
