Real Madrid achieved a valuable victory today over its arch-rivals Barcelona, two goals to none in the "Clasico" summit that brought them together at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the 26th round of the Spanish Football League.
Brazilian Vinicius Jr. scored the first goal for Real in the 71st minute, so substitute Mariano Diaz added the second goal after moments of stoppage time and the victory of the hosts was decided.
With this victory, Real Madrid returns to the top of La Liga with 56 points from 26 games, while Barcelona fell to second place with 55 points.
