The trained carpenter, who is currently studying to become a vocational school teacher, scored 334 points in 13 games. He leads the scorer championship confidently. The Peißenberg team is in fourth place three games before the end of the season. Wenzel Naß has been playing basketball for eleven years, and has also been department head since 2019. His sister is also a basketball player; she plays in the TSV women's team.
What is your secret to success?
When I was young I spent most of my free time on the hard court with my friends and played basketball there. I already benefit from that. In the games we work well as a team, so you often get an open throw. It is more likely that the ball will go in.
Do you have a special throw?
Frankly not. I'm just happy when the ball goes in. And I am particularly happy with successful triple throws. I still have room for improvement (laughs).
What is special about the Peißenberg team?
We have a solid core of players who have been playing together for about ten years. The team spirit and team spirit are also very good. If we lose - and this happens to us from time to time - the whole world doesn't collapse. We focus on fun.
Would you like to play higher class?
Yes - but if so, then only with Peißenberg. I used to play at TSV Weilheim for a while. With the promotion to the district league it will be nothing for us this year, but the third place is still in there. Maybe it will work out next year.
