Merkur CUP draw: 371 teams in the draw pot

The round in the Sportalm was completed by Jochen Fuchs (District Youth Leader of the BFV) and Heinz-Peter Birkner, Honorary Game Leader and Founding Father of the Merkur CUP. After a brief greeting by Haching's Vice President Peter Wagstyl and Merkur CUP General Manager Uwe Vaders, the 16 boys' circles as well as the large, this year with 29 teams, which was launched in 2013, were drawn by girls.

Merkur CUP starts on May 9th in the Ebersberg district

The four Ebersberg preliminary round groups (District 04) were also pulled out of the loose drum. 18 teams will take part this year, the game will take place on Saturday, May 9th, on the grounds of TSV Moosach and TSV Poing (the district finale will follow on Thursday, May 21st. Interested clubs can still apply for the event online.

Torsten Horn, Technical Director of the Merkur CUP, had done all the work in advance and ensured that the 371 teams were drawn quickly and without complications. Girl game manager Manuela Lechermann was very satisfied, "especially because I already have the three organizers of the first rounds fixed." The young director of the BFV from Arget is particularly looking forward to her first engagement as the girl manager.

Kick-off event on March 24th

The kick-off event for the 26th Merkur CUP edition will also take place in Unterhaching on Tuesday, March 24, from 7 p.m. There, the clubs will also receive their welcome packages with T-shirts, Merkur CUP balls (for the preliminary round organizers) and current tournament booklets. Unlike in previous years, there is no obligation to attend - however, the packages are only issued here. If you do not come, you should hand over your package voucher to a friend of yours and report this to mail@merkurcup.com. The personal invitations to the clubs will be sent to the youth leaders in a few days

Merkur CUP is the world's largest e-youth tournament

The 26th Merkur CUP is the world's largest e-youth tournament. It is organized by Munich-based Merkur and the BFV and sponsored by the premium sponsors ESB Energie Südbayern, CEWE, frostkrone frozen foods and the macron supplier with macronstore Munich. FC Bayern Munich, SpVgg Unterhaching and TSV 1860 Munich also support the tournament. Other sponsors: FC Bayern Erlebniswelt, FC Bayern Women, Allianz Arena, Howe and Busreisen Geldhauser. ESB is also a 2020 fair play partner of the Merkur CUP.
