Last Friday, all Merkur CUP game directors from the BFV came together to jointly draw the preliminary round groups of the individual Merkur CUP game groups.
The round was completed by Jochen Fuchs (District Youth Leader of the BFV) and the Honorary Game Leader of the Merkur CUP, founding father Heinz-Peter Birkner.
After a brief greeting by Haching's Vice President Peter Wagstyl and Merkur CUP Director Uwe Vaders, the 16 boys' circles as well as the large, this year with 29 teams, which was launched in 2013, were drawn by girls.
Torsten Horn, Technical Director of the Merkur CUP, had done all the work in advance and ensured that the 371 U 11 teams were drawn quickly and without complications. Girl game manager Manuela Lechermann was very satisfied, "especially because I already have the three organizers of the first rounds fixed." The young BFV game director from Arget is particularly looking forward to her first engagement as the girl manager in the Merkur CUP.
Start of the Merkur Cup on March 24th
The kick-off event for the 26th Merkur CUP edition will take place on March 24th at 7 p.m. in Unterhaching. There, the clubs will also receive their welcome packages with T-shirts, Merkur CUP balls (for the preliminary round organizers) and current tournament booklets.
Vaders emphasizes: "Unlike in previous years, there is no obligation to attend - but only here are the welcome packages given out! If you do not come, you should hand over your package voucher to a friend of yours and report this to mail@merkurcup.com. The personal invitations to the clubs will be sent to the youth leaders of the Merkur CUP participants in a few days. "
