Following the updated guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health several hours ago, including that Israelis returning from Spain should stay in solitary confinement for up to two weeks leaving the state, it turns out that Maccabi Tel Aviv players and members of the group are also obliged to remain in isolation until Saturday.
The Yellows played against Valencia on February 21 and left Spain a day later. This means that all players and people staying with the team in the game should be in isolation. By law, a breach of a home insulation order may go up to criminal charges leading to a prolonged imprisonment of up to 7 years.
Professor Sigal Sadecki, head of the Public Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health, said at the press conference with general reference to the possibility of people violating the isolation order: "People who do not report truth or who try to evade isolation or do not perform the isolation, we see it very seriously and will work very hard against them." It should be noted that Sadecki did not refer to Maccabi Tel Aviv, but broadly to the entire population.
