Manchester City achieved an important victory today against hosts Sheffield Wednesday, second-class with a goal for nothing at Hillsborough, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The match witnessed clear control of Manchester City and several missed opportunities for his attackers, as goal keeper Nicholas Ottamende and Benjamin Mendi were prevented from scoring, but the last word was for Argentine striker Sergio Aguero, who scored the only goal of the match in the 53rd minute after a mistake by goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith.
With this victory, City qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition, and on Sunday it won the League Cup, by defeating Aston Villa 2-1, at Wembley.
