Franco-Malian striker FC Porto, Moussa Marega, was the target of racist shouts from opposing supporters last February, during a championship match at Vitoria Guimarães. The local weekly Sàbado revealed details of the sanctions by the Portuguese league, with a total fine of 18,000 euros. € 7,140 is due to material damage following siege jets, € 4,017 for the use of pyrotechnic devices, € 2,678 due to the exchange of torches between supporters of the two clubs and finally € 714 for monkey calls to against Marega. In the days following the incident, the soccer world had supported the 28-year-old, as well as the Leipzig supporters who had received Porto a few days after the match in Guimarães.
