It went well with the wrestling wolves. Lukas Rimpfl from TSV St. Wolfgang becomes Bavarian ring master. Severin Attenberger finished fourth.

St. Wolfgang – St. Wolfgang's wrestling wolves performed well in both styles at the Bavarian Junior Championships. Lukas Rimpfl won the freestyle title in the C-youth and secured bronze in the Greek-Roman competition. The two fourth places of Severin Attenberger and Georg Scheffler were also hard fought, both just barely missed the podium.

At the first Greek-Roman Championship in Regensburg, the two promising young talents Rimpfl and Attenberger started in the 34 kg class of the C youth. Attenberger finished third in his pool after two wins and two defeats and, despite a committed fight, had to surrender to fifth place in the fight. Things went better for Rimpfl, who was the first to complete his pool with four wins. In the final fights, however, luck was not on the side of the young St. Wolfgang. In both matches, he had to accept his opponents' point equalization a few seconds before the end, losing 3: 3 against Hocheder from Anger and 5: 5 from Bittl from Burgebrach due to the last scoring.

In the juniors, the wrestlers with Georg Scheffler had another hot iron in the fire. The high school student, who was soon to be of age, started for the first time in the 67 kg class. With two superior victories and a 4:11 point loss against the future champion Frölich from Anger, Scheffler made a good start into his new weight class. After winning a point win against the pool leader of the other group, a podium place seemed possible. But the second final fight against Bieringer (Mering) was lost after a spin series without a point. So Scheffler had to be content with fourth place.

The freestyle competitions were organized by ASC Bindlach in Bad Berneck in Upper Franconia. Again, the two St. Wolfgang C-boys competed in the 34 kg class in different pools. In his favorite style, Rimpfl did it the other way around this time. Although he was four times out of six at the start, he won all fights confidently and with a big point advantage. So also the decisive final fight against Hocheder, where he was 0: 2 points at half-time, but then pulled away with a series of leg screws to 16: 2 and secured first place.

Almost a medal would have been enough for Attenberger. After a walk-through and two sure wins, he almost had Hocheder on his shoulders in the pool finale, but a few centimeters and the break gong saved the Angerer, who then prevailed with a point victory. Attenberger was second in the pool and finished fourth after losing points against Rimpfl and fear opponent Brandl from Nuremberg.
