However, this unique copy will not be sold.

Among the "Barbie Sheroes" (a contraction of "She" and "Heroes") honored in recent years, we could notably find the aviator Amelia Earhart, the director of Wonder Woman Patty Jenkins or, closer to France, the chef cook Hélène Daroze. A way to move away from the clichés sticking to the image of the blonde princess with the interminable legs while being inspired by personalities from the real world.

The designation of Amandine Henry as muse is not Mattel's only foray into the world of sport since the manufacturer recently announced, on the occasion of, the international toy fair in New York, that several new models OJ were going to be put on the market. The Barbie Tokyo 2020 will be built around five sports newly admitted to the Olympic program: baseball, softball, climbing, karate, skateboarding and surfing.
