Viviane Asseyi's free kick master
It is far from having succeeded everything, but it allowed the Blue to win. Aligned to the right of the attack, the Girondins de Bordeaux striker was discreet in this meeting until this magnificent free kick scored in the second period. At 22 meters, the 26-year-old striker sent a superb shot curled into the skylight of Sheridan (55th) which offered a victory to the French.
Amel Majri in the right moves
She was the most technically fair on Wednesday. The experienced Olympique Lyonnais player was much sought after on her left side by her partners, and in particular enabled Sakina Karchaoui to free herself. It is also she who obtains the free kick transformed by Asseyi. Replaced by Le Sommer at the hour, its release weighed on the lack of clear opportunities in the second half.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto was not there
Unsuccessful at the last World Cup, the PSG striker was expected to meet on Wednesday. Aligned alongside Diani, Katoto was often poorly positioned and was not very effective in the last pass and in front of goal. She also did not have a clear opportunity despite the lack of serenity in Canadian defense.
Canada misses the boat
The eighth-of-finalists of the 2019 World Cup completely missed their match. The attackers had almost no dangerous ball to get hold of and the midfielder was far too weak with many lost balls, especially in the Canadian half. Dominated in all sectors, they are doing well because the score could have been wider.
