Following a call for tenders organized by Paris 2024, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (Cojo) chose Le Coq Sportif as equipment supplier. "This partnership rewards the expertise and technical know-how of the equipment supplier, a long-standing partner of French sport for over 100 years," the committee said in a press release. The French brand will therefore take care of the performance and representation outfits of the French Olympic and Paralympic teams at the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris. This choice announces the reunion of Le Coq Sportif with the Games, since the brand already dressed the French team between 1912 and 1972.

"But the federations which would like to keep their own federal equipment manufacturer for the outfits of competitions will have the freedom to do so", explains the Cojo in the press release. These exceptions could notably concern basketball, handball, football and athletics.
Made in France rewarded
While Le Coq Sportif had outsourced its manufacturing to Asia, the brand decided in 2010 to repatriate part of its production to its historic site of Romilly-sur-Seine in the Aube. "By retaining our offer, Paris 2024 has chosen a French brand to equip French teams and athletes for these Olympic and Paralympic Games which will take place in France! This choice also promotes our territories, the French industry and our international know-how ”, welcomed the brand in a press release.

Equipment supplier from 2021
This partnership between Paris 2024 and Le Coq Sportif will start in 2021. Thus, the French Olympic and Paralympic athletes will wear the outfits of the equipment supplier on all the events organized under the aegis of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Paralympic (IPC), like the 2022 Beijing Winter Games or the 2022 Dakar Youth Games.
