Nicolas Belloir was summoned to the Ministry of Sports on March 10 to explain the revelations of sexual violence within his federation. The head of the roller derby commission, Amandine Richaud-Cambres, had publicly asked for her departure in February and intended to file a complaint against her own federation.
On February 27, Le Parisien revealed that four complaints, for sexual display, sexual assault or rape, had been filed by practitioners or former roller derby practitioners. According to L'Equipe, two other complaints have since been filed.
Implicated by practitioners
Several practitioners accuse the president of the Federation in particular of having curbed speaking out on sexual violence at the end of 2018 during the appointment of Nicolas Goury, now the subject of two complaints, to the board of directors. On social networks, several young women had criticized this appointment, highlighting inappropriate gestures of the vice-president of the Toulouse club. Nicolas Belloir then threatened to take legal action against these remarks.
