Cheneyi Martins, a player of the Nigerian Nassarawa United team, died during his team's match against Katsina United in the Nigerian Football League.
The 22-year-old, Martins, fell to the field suddenly, and all his efforts to save him were unsuccessful and he reached the hospital where he was dead.
Immediately after the whistle sounded at the end of the match, the Nasarawa team won 3-0, the players learned of the death of their teammate, and they collapsed on the field of crying.
