Semir Ljumani returned to TuS Holzkirchen in January. At the weekend, after his substitution, he scored twice to win against Kirchheimer SC.
Holzkirchen - For months, his ex-teammates have been telling him to come back and storm again for TuS Holzkirchen. Semir Ljumani has been back since January - and how. In his first point game for the TuS since May 11, 2019 (0-2 against Nördlingen), he struck twice in the 2-1 in Kirchheim within twelve minutes and impressively demonstrated his qualities as a joker. In the 2018/2019 Bayernliga season, the 22-year-old scored three of his four goals after the substitution. A short interview.
Congratulations, Mr. Ljumani! In minute 78 you come in, in minute 79 you score 1-0. Then there is a jubilee run across the entire square. A lot has been solved with you. Were you disappointed that you weren't there in Kirchheim from the start?
Well, I was either brought on in preparation or didn't play at all. I'm mentally fully there, I trained very well and also had a good feeling. Apparently that was not a mistake.
Ljumani: "Actually, I wanted to stop playing football."
After all, you stayed for half a year ...
I actually wanted to stop playing football. But the team really wanted me back, the boys didn't let up. It is all the better that I was able to help the team with my goals.
Two goals in twelve minutes. They obviously like to meet after a substitution. Are you the ideal wild card?
I wouldn't say that, even if I scored three of my four goals after the substitution last season in the Bayern League. It is clear that I always want to be there right from the start. The victory in Kirchheim was extremely important in the struggle for relegation.
Do you see the team on the right track?
In any case. Not everything is going according to plan, and we have to play with brains rather than running wildly, but relegation or even direct relegation shouldn't be an issue for us.
