VfB Forstinning returned from the training camp in Belek on Sunday. In Turkey they tested against a local fifth division team.
Forstinning / Belek - On the penultimate day of his training camp, football district club VfB Forstinning was allowed to play a test match against Demre Belediyespor at Mardan Stadium. Thanks to the organizational skills of the travel agency MADSports, after some difficulties with the district club from Antalya, an adequate opponent from the fifth Turkish league was found who was technically convincing. With Rifat Yolalan, even a Turkish second division referee led the match.

In the first round, VfB gained some advantages through the better physical presence and room layout and converted this into two goals from Kevin Becker and Ivan Bacak. "Unfortunately, we didn't get to the end in the second round," coach Ivica Coric criticized the lack of penalty area action in the second half. "But the opponent also had two or three really good boys with him," Coric praised above all the midfield of the Stadtwerkverein from Antalya. Mertcan Eran scored 1: 2 shortly before the end after a VfB mistake, but Forstinning brought the narrow victory over time.
Coric was satisfied with the presentation after the previously stressful exercise units. In the overall assessment in the final team meeting, the trainer gave an overall grade of “2”. "Some ended up waving the white flag, but it's okay."

Department head Thomas Herndl also summed up the sporting excursion in the southern part of the country positively. “Organization through agency, accommodation, catering, training opportunities: perfect. I hope that we have laid the foundation for a hopefully successful second half in the intensive technique and tactical units. "
On Saturday afternoon, culture was finally on the program, the VfB-Kicher made a short detour to Antalya, which now had more than two million inhabitants and was founded in 158 BC, and visited the historic port facility. Little has been handed down from the team evening in the hotel, presumably everything went well. The next touchstone for VfB is TSV Wartenberg tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. at home.
